Get Gutshot in Austin this weekend
Mitchell brings free minis to Great Hall Games
Sept. 18, 2007 -- Austin, Texas

Gutshot co-creator Mike Mitchell is hittin' the trail this weekend to take Wild West action to the Texas state capital.

"Yup, it's about high time for them folks in Austin to get Gutshot," Mitchell said.

Mitchell is finally acting on a long-standing invitation from Rob Smith, the proprietor of Great Hall Games.

"I think running a game would be great. Normally we close at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, but we would be willing to allow the game to proceed until its finish," Rob said.

Mitchell will be travelling that day but should arrive at the store before 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007.  He plans to be set up and ready to run a game by around 5:30 p.m., or whenever the players are ready.

"Truth be told, I've been trying to get down there for ages," Mitchell explained. "But every time I made plans, something would come up. Well, barring hell or high water, this weekend I aim to sling dice with the fine folks at Rob's store."

Mitchell said he will select the adventure when he sees how many players there are.

The store will be fully stocked with copies of Gutshot, and the author has never been shy about writing a personal autograph in 'em. And as a special treat, everyone who buys a copy of Gutshot on Saturday will receive a free Gutshot Chick Miniature (valid only with in-store purchases).

The game is open to the general public -- all miniatures, dice, and terrain will be provided, so beginners are welcome. Of course, if yuh got yer own dice and minis, bring 'em along!
