Mark McKinley
Selected as Dec. Contest Winner

Ho Ho Howdy!
He's checking his list to see who wears the white hats and who wears the black hats, so yuh better be good for goodness sake!

Dec. 15, 2003
ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. -
A special tip of Santa's Stetson to Mark A. McKinley of North Carolina. On Dec. 15, one of Santa's reindeer wranglers reached into the hat and pulled out Mark's name as the latest winner in the Gutshot Online Contest.

Mark was pleased as a hog at feeding time to hear that his name had been selected for the Winter 2003 drawing. As his prize, Mark got to browse through the Gutshot General Store and pick out any one item that he wanted.

"Thanks!!! I guess I'll take the Cold Death Steel Mug," he said. He also promised us to break out his digital camera and send us a cool souvenir of his victory. "I'm looking forward to the release of Gutshot and plan on enjoying a cup 'o joe in my Gutshot Cold Death Steel Mug while playing a fast-paced, small-scale miniatures game set in the Wild West!"

"I'll be sure to snap a photo for you. I'm out here on the Outer Banks of NC and I'll try to frame a shot of me with the mug with the Wright Bros. Memorial or Wright Flyer for you," he said.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brothers famous flight, which forever changed the face of the United States -- East, West, and beyond.

"It's easy to forget that, even as the Wright Brothers were changing the world with the incredible invention of the airplane, people were still using covered wagons to head out for the free (or cheap) land out in the West," said Gutshot co-creator Mike Mitchell. "It was really an amazing time when the world was transitioning between the old and the new."

If you haven't done so already, mosey over to our Contest Registration Page and sign up for the next drawing, which will be March 15, 2004.

As with previous contests, the winner will get to pick one item of Gutshot Merchandise from the General Store. The store currently carries T-shirts, baseball caps, mouspads, a Barbeque Apron, a new wall clock, and lots of other items that'll make you happier than a riverboat gambler with three aces up his sleeve!

And remember, if you've registered in the past, you don't need to do so again. your name stays in the hat until you win!
